    Abstract
This thesis discusses a study that focuses on the phonological processes and phonological rules found in Cardi B's rap songs. The main problems raised in this study are what are the types of phonological processes of English slang words in Cardi B's Rap songs and how are the phonological rules of English slang words in Cardi B's Rap songs?. This study aims to determine the types of phonological processes and phonological rules that appear in Cardi B's song lyrics. The methodology used is a qualitative approach by applying the theory of Generative Phonology proposed by Schane (1973). Schane's 1973 theory from the book Generative Phonology was applied in this study and found assimilation processes (1 consonant assimilated to a vowel and 1 vowel assimilated to a consonant), syllable structure processes (23 consonant deletions, 4 vowel deletions, 4 consonant insertions, 7 vowel insertions, 1 consonant coalescence, and 1 vowel coalescence), and weakening (1 weakening). The total number of processes found in this analysis is 43. The results of this study are expected to provide a good understanding of the study of phonology in the field of linguistics.
