    Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of socio-economic factors and access to technology on farmers' decisions in selecting hybrid corn seed varieties in Desa Dosroha, Kecamatan Simanindo, Kabupaten Samosir. The socio-economic factors examined include land size, education level, farming experience, and income. Meanwhile, technology access is measured through the farmers’ ability to obtain agricultural information via extension services and agricultural media technology. The research method used is a quantitative approach with descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression. Data were collected through a questionnaire distributed to 50 purposively selected respondents. Instrument validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests (normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity) were conducted to ensure the reliability of the regression model. The results indicate that socio-economic factors and technology access simultaneously have a significant effect on farmers’ decisions. Partially, land size, education level, and farming experience have significant effects, while income and technology access do not show a significant influence. This finding suggests that internal capacities such as experience and education play a more dominant role in decision-making than economic or technological access factors. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of improving farmers' human resource capacity through education and training. Additionally, a more effective and widespread technology-based agricultural extension approach is necessary to promote sustainable innovation adoption.
