This study focused on speech errors from psycholinguistic perspective. This study aims to find out the types and the factors influencing speech errors made by Chris Anderson and Elon Musk in their podcast video in the episode of Elon Musk: A future worth getting excited about
| Tesla Texas Gigafactory interview | TED. The podcast was uploaded on April 18th, 2022. The method of this research is qualitative research. Clark and Clark’s theory is applied to find the speech error such as silent pause, filled pause, repetition, false start (retrace), false start (un- retraced), correction, stutter, interjection, and slip of the tongue. As a result of this research, the writer found out various errors as silent pause, filled pause, repetition, false start (retrace), false start (un-retraced), correction, stutters, and interjection as the speech errors made by Chris Anderson and Elon Musk. The factors why the speaker made speech errors are due to cognitive and social factors.
