Pengendalian Penyakit Pasca Panen Antraknosa (Colletotrichum gloeosporioides) pada Buah Stroberi (Fragaria sp.) Menggunakan Beberapa Pelapis Alami (Edible Coating)
Control of Post-harvest Anthracnose (Colletotrichum gloeosporioides) Disease on Strawberry Fruit (Fragaria sp.) Using Several Edible Coatings
Abstract
Strawberry (Fragaria sp.) an important commodity throughout the world, including in Indonesia. One of the main problems faced is anthracnose disease caused by C. gloeosporioides. This fungus can reduce the productivity of strawberries produced when approaching harvest and post-harvest periods. The use of plant extracts has been proven effective in inhibiting the growth of this fungus. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of plant extracts with the most effective concentration in suppressing the growth of C. gloeosporioides in vitro and in vivo. This research was conducted at the Plant Disease Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture and the organic chemistryLaboratory, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Sumatera Utara from January to June 2024. This study used a non- factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) and 3 replicates, namely C- = PDA media (Negative Control), C+ = C. gloeosporioides (Positive Control), A1 = Aloe vera extract (Aloe vera) 100%, A2 = Andaliman extract (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium DC) 50%, A3 = Basil extract (Ocimum sanctum) 25%, A4 = Chitosan 33%, A5 = Adhesive made from active Oleic Acid 1 ml/L, A6 = Fungicide made from active Difenoconazole and Azoxystrobin 0.5 ml/l. The results showed that 50% andaliman extract gave the best results and was effectively used as a natural preservative compared to the other treatments both in vitro and in vivo and was able to maintain the freshness of strawberries with a shelf life of strawberries at room temperature for 7 days.
