This study aims to determine the value of LD50 and the effect of gamma radiation on carrots (Daucus carota L.) as well as knowing the morphological changes in M1 carrot plants as a result of gamma ray radiation. The research was carried out in Sempajaya Village, Berastagi District, Karo regency in March 2024 to June 2024 with gamma ray radiation treatment. The research methods used are non factorial random Group Design and Duncan's Multiple Range Test. The results showed that the LD50 value obtained was 534.542 Gray, indicating the optimal dose for seed growth. The percentage of live sprouts at doses of 0 to 500 gray showed significant results, while at doses of 600 to 1000 gray there was a drastic decrease until the complete death of the seeds. The highest average weight of carrot tubers was found in the treatment of 300 Gray with a value of 222.20 grams, the highest average length of carrots was found in the treatment of 300 Gray with a value of 20.50 cm, the highest average weight of the top of the plant was found in the treatment of 300 Gray with a value of 102.90 grams and the highest diameter of tubers was also in 300 Gray with a value of 3.72 cm. The highest stomatal density is found in the treatment of 300 Gray with a value of 32.53 mm2, in the test the difference between the two average parameters of carrot length and carrot diameter is significantly different while the weight of carrots 100 Gray and 200 Gray treatment is not significantly different from the control treatment.en_US
