Hubungan Dosis Pupuk NPK Plus dan Kapur Dolomit terhadap Produksi Bawang Merah (Allium Ascalonicum L) pada Lahan Gambut di Kabupaten Nias Utara
The Relationship Of Dosage NPK Fertilizer And Dolomite Lime To Shallot (Allium Ascalonicum L) Production On Peatland In North Nias Regency
Abstract
Most of North Nias Regency is peatland, which is used primarily for rice,
rubber and coconut crops. Until now there have been no shallot cultivation
activities in North Nias Regency. This study aims to prove the role of dosing NPK
Plus fertilizer and Dolomite lime on shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) cultivation
on peatlands in Lafau Village, North Nias Regency. The research used a
Randomized Group Design (RAK) with two factors and three blocks. The first
factor was the dose of NPK fertilizer with levels of: 0, 250, 500, and 750 (kg/ha).
The second factor is Dolomite lime with levels: 0, 1.5, 3.0, and 4.5 (tons/ha). The
results showed that the application of NPK Plus fertilizer was able to increase the
wet weight of the crown and wet weight of shallot bulbs. The highest yield was
obtained at a dose of 750 kg/ha. The higher the NPK fertilizer, the higher the yield
but the response curve is still linear. Dolomite lime can increase the wet weight of
bulbs, dry weight of bulbs, number of tillers, and grading quality of bulbs. The
highest yield was obtained at a dose of 4.5 tons/ha. The more dolomite lime is
applied, the higher the yield but the response curve is still linear. The interaction
of the two treatments between NPK fertilizer and dolomite lime did not affect the
parameters observed.
