    Abstract
This study, titled "The Validity Aspect of Information in the Use of TikTok Among Teenagers (A Media Literacy Study of MAN Tebing Tinggi Students)," aims to examine TikTok usage patterns and assess the level of information validation skills among students. The research uses the CRAAP evaluation model, covering five dimensions: Currency, Relevance, Authority, Accuracy, and Purpose. A quantitative descriptive method was applied with 82 respondents selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected via a questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results show that although students use TikTok infrequently, usage duration is high, with 21 students spending more than four hours daily. Comedy is the most accessed content, mainly for entertainment and boredom relief. Nevertheless, 50 students use TikTok to learn new things, and 73 seek up-to-date information, indicating that TikTok also serves as an information source for teenagers. Regarding information validity, most students fall into the moderate category (58 students). The highest levels were found in Relevance, Currency, and Accuracy, reflecting students' growing ability to identify current, accurate, and relevant content. The Authority dimension was balanced between high and moderate levels, suggesting room for improvement in recognizing credible sources. The lowest performance was in the Purpose dimension, indicating that many students still struggle to critically assess the intent behind the information presented.
