    Abstract
This research is entitled Accessibility of Blind Voters in the 2024 General Election in Medan City. The main objective is to evaluate the accessibility of electoral facilities and services for blind voters and to identify the obstacles they face in exercising their voting rights independently and confidentially. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, using data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. Key informants include election organizers in Medan, disability organizations, and blind voters themselves. The findings reveal that efforts to create inclusive elections still face significant challenges. Despite the existence of regulations such as Law No. 8 of 2016 on Persons with Disabilities and KPU Regulation No. 3 of 2019, the implementation in Medan City remains inadequate. Major issues include the absence of Braille ballots, inaccessible polling station (TPS) layouts, lack of trained polling staff, and insufficient voter education for people with disabilities. Additionally, low awareness among families and society regarding the political rights of blind individuals further hinders their participation. This research recommends that the Medan City General Election Commission (KPU) strengthen its commitment to inclusivity by providing proper facilities, conducting specialized training for election officials, and involving disability organizations in all stages of the election process. Ensuring political rights for persons with disabilities, particularly the blind, is essential for upholding a just, equal, and dignified democratic system. Inclusive elections not only reflect democratic values but also affirm the state’s responsibility to protect and empower all citizens equally.
