    Abstract
Street sweepers are often exposed to demanding working conditions, and the lack of attention to their lifestyle makes them vulnerable to sleep disturbances. Poor lifestyle habits can negatively impact sleep quality, leading to reduced work focus, fatigue, and a higher risk of accidents among workers. This study aims to analyze the relationship between lifestyle factors (health responsibility, physical activity, nutrition, spiritual growth, interpersonal relationships, and stress management) and sleep quality among street sweepers in the Medan Selayang Subdistrict. This research employed a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach involving 44 workers as respondents. The participants consisted of 22 (50.0%) workers aged ≤ 42 years and 22 (50.0%) workers aged ≥ 42 years. A total of 22 (50.0%) workers had completed high school as their highest education level, and 26 (59.1%) workers had been employed for more than 10 years. The results showed that 30 (68.2%) workers had poor sleep quality. Based on lifestyle indicators, 20 (45.5%) workers had poor health responsibility, 28 (63.3%) workers had poor physical activity, 23 (52.3%) workers had moderate nutritional status, 38 (86.4%) workers had good spiritual growth, 24 (54.4%) workers had good interpersonal relationships, and 22 (50.0%) had moderate stress management. The analysis revealed a significant relationship between certain lifestyle indicators (health responsibility, physical activity, nutrition, and stress management) and sleep quality (p < 0.05). However, no significant relationship was found between spiritual growth or interpersonal relationships and sleep quality (p > 0.05). It is essential to enhance the adoption of a healthy lifestyle by undergoing direct medical examinations at the nearest healthcare facility when experiencing any health-related symptoms, engaging in regular physical activity outside of working hours, bringing a nutritious and well-balanced lunch, and applying simple stress management techniques such as breathing exercises
