Jenis-Jenis Nilai Perjuangan Tokoh Utama pada Novel Tempat Paling Sunyi Karya Arafat Nur: Kajian Sosiologi Sastra

Abstract

Values are something that gives meaning to life that provides a reference, starting point, and purpose in life. Values are highly valued and considered high in society, values refer to good or bad reasoning that functions as a guideline and basis for someone to act. One type of value is the value of struggle. The value of struggle is a value that is inherent in people's lives, the value of struggle concerns the effort with all their might to achieve and obtain something that is difficult to obtain. The struggle will certainly be achieved if someone has commitment and determination in facing their problems. In studying and analyzing the values of struggle in literary works, another science is needed, namely the sociology of literature. This study aims to describe the values of struggle contained in the novel Tempat Paling Sunyi by Arafat Nur. In this novel, there are many values of struggle that are closely related to society. The novel Tempat Paling Sunyi certainly contains many values of struggle that are seen from the activities or actions of the characters in it. In analyzing the novel Tempat Paling Sunyi, the approach or study used is the sociology of literature. The method used in this study uses a qualitative descriptive method. Qualitative research methods produce descriptive data in the form of words in the form of quotations as a problem-solving procedure. The results of the study show that the novel Tempat Paling Sunyi by Arafat Nur has values of struggle, including: 1) life, 2) ideology, 3) profession.
