Peran Rasa Memiliki Sekolah dan Dukungan Keluarga terhadap Kemampuan Matematika pada Siswa di Indonesia Berdasarkan Data PISA 2022
The Impact of School Belonging and Family Support on Mathematics Abilities in Indonesian: An Analysis of PISA 2022 Data
Abstract
Mathematics ability is a skill required by every student. Of course, there are many factors that influence mathematics ability. One factor that needs to be considered to improve students' mathematics ability is a school belonging and family support. This quantitative study aims to investigate the role of school belonging and family support on mathematics ability among students in Indonesia using secondary data from the PISA 2022 Student Questionnaire, with a sample size of 13,439 students aged 15–16 years. The data analysis method employed in this study is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the multiple linear regression test showed an F value (2,12.064) = 92.490, p < 0.05, R² = 0.015. Based on these results, it can be concluded that school belonging and family support account for 1.5% of mathematical ability, while 98.5% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Although their role is relatively small, the results of this study emphasize the importance of school belonging and family support in improving students mathematics ability. Therefore, a more comprehensive approach involving other factors is needed to optimally improve mathematics ability.
