dc.description.abstract | Bagan Deli Village, located in Medan Belawan District, is a coastal area that is vulnerable to tidal flooding due to rising sea levels and land subsidence. The land subsidence and speed of land subsidence that occurred in Bagan Deli Village, Medan Belawan District, amounted to 6.50 cm. This problem has a significant impact on the social, economic, and environmental lives of the local community. This study aims to analyze the most effective tidal flood mitigation strategies using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The AHP method is used to determine the priority of mitigation actions based on a number of criteria, such as cost, implementation, effectiveness, sustainability and location conditions. Data were collected through interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGD) with experts, and paired comparison questionnaires. The results of the analysis showed that Relocation, Mangrove Planting/Coastal Vegetation, are the mitigation alternatives with the highest priority, followed by Working Groups/Public Participation, Early Warning Systems, Drainage Channel Improvements, Stilt Houses, Polder Systems, Raising Land/Floor Elevation, Seawalls, River Dredging, Water Gates. This study provides strategic recommendations for local governments and related parties in formulating appropriate and sustainable tidal flood mitigation policies. | en_US |
