Analysis of Salary Deduction Strategy in Improving Employee Work Discipline (Study at ID Express Stabat )
Abstract
In today's era, all business sectors are increasingly competitive, one of which is in the logistics sector. Logistics is an important sector in the economy because it connects producers and consumers who are far away, and provides goods and services needed by the community. Companies must enforce a discipline that contains regulations that must be obeyed by employees. With work discipline, it is expected to make work as efficient as possible. Work discipline can be seen as something that is very beneficial, both for the interests of the organization and for employees.
This study aims to describe how the salary deduction strategy in improving the work discipline of employees of the ID Express Stabat branch and describe how salary deduction is implemented at ID Express Stabat.
The method used in this study is qualitative. The researcher conducted the study by interviewing 4 key informants directly. The informants were a coordinator, namely Imam Eko Prakoso and 3 couriers, namely Sandi Pratama, Ewa Purnomo Aji, and Yuda Alfausan Nst.
The results of the study explain that the salary deduction strategy at ID Express Stabat has a very positive effect on all employees. The factors that cause salary deductions for employees of ID Express Stabat branch are beng late, forgetting to check in or out, losing packages, using Cash On Delivery (COD), paying cash from the branch office and taking leave or holidays. Before the implementation of the salary deduction strategy, employee discipline was very irregular, especially in terms of time of entry, absence and time of going home from work. After the implementation of the salary deduction strategy, employees became more disciplined, careful and responsible for ther work so that there were no salary deductions.
