    Abstract
Cyclamate sweetener is often used in various types of food and beverage products, one of which is instant powdered drinks. Cyclamate sweetener is a BTP that can be carcinogenic if consumed in excessive amounts. This study aims to analyze the content of cyclamate sweetener in instant powdered fruit-flavored drinks as well as the knowledge of traders. This type of research is descriptive. The sample consisted of 10 traders with a total sampling method. The object of this study was 8 samples of instant powdered fruit-flavored drinks with orange variants. The results of this study are the characteristics of traders who are mostly aged between 25-35 years and >35 years (40% each), female (70%), with the latest education of high school/equivalent (60%), and the length of trading 1-4 years (50%). The majority of traders knowledge regarding cyclamate sweeteners in fruit-flavored instant powdered drinks is in the poor category (60%), with the most common incorrect answers found in questions regarding the topic of cyclamate sweeteners and the health impacts of cyclamate sweeteners. The most sold beverage brands are Nutrisari and Teh Sisri, which are sold by all traders (100%). The highest sales volume in a month ranges from 500-1000 packs (50%). All products sold are still within their expiration date. The examination results showed that all eight samples contained cyclamate sweeteners but were still within the required category (350 mg/kg). It is hoped that traders can increase their knowledge and understanding regarding food additives, especially artificial sweeteners such as cyclamate, and their health impacts if consumed excessively. It is also expected to always read product packaging labels as a form of responsibility for consumer health.
