Identification of Nationalism Levels among Female Students in Darul Arafah Pesantren
Abstract
This research aims to identify the level of nationalism among female students (santriwati) at Darul Arafah Islamic Boarding School. The research participants consisted of 115 female students selected using the Accidental Sampling technique. The measuring instrument used is Nationalism. The results of the data analysis of this study indicate the descriptive value of nationalism of female students is categorized as high, with a percentage of 88.8% (102 participants), while 11.2% (13 participants) fall into the moderate category, and there are no participants in the low category. In terms of nationalism, this study found that Generalized Positive Assessment of the Nation reached 79.9%, Feeling of Superiority was 87.8%, and Nation-related Tendencies of Idealization was 74.7% all of which are classified as high. Additionally, factors such as ethnicity, age, and class also influence the level of nationalism. The Javanese ethnic group recorded the highest percentage 92.3% (39 participants), the late teenage group dominated with 90.7% (65 participants), and the 11th grade had the highest percentage of nationalism 91.2% (45 participants). This study concludes that the nationalism of female students at Darul Arafah Islamic Boarding School is at a high level, both generally and when viewed from various aspects and influencing factors. This study indicates that the nationalism of female students at Darul Arafah Islamic Boarding School is generally high, both overall and based on the aspects and factors that influence it.
