The purpose of this research was to determine and analyze the influence of
studying while working and learning motivation of academic achievement in
Faculty of Economics and Business University of North Sumatera. The research
was conducted on regular bachelor degree students in batch 2016 that consist
majors of Development Economics, Management, and Accounting. The
population in this research is regular bachelor degree students in batch 2016 who
is studying while working, which is the excact amount was unknown, so the
sample in this research was determined with Lameshow’s formula that result 96 as
the amount of sample. Data analyzing method is using Descriptive Analyzing
Method and Multiple Linear Rgression. The type of this research is associative
quantitative research, the data used are primary obtained through questionnaire
instrument that used Likert scale as measurement. Data is processed statistically
with SPSS 24 program that is F Test model, t-Test model, and Determinant
Coefficient (R2). The result of this research indicate that partially the variable of
Studying While Working have negative and non significant effect on the variable
of Academic Achievement, partially the variable of Learning Motivation have
positive and significant effect on the variable of Academic Achievement, and
simultaneously the variabel of Studying While Working and Learning Motivation
have significant effect on the variable of Academic Achievement. The value of
Adjusted R Square is 0,241 which means the dependent variable can be explained
by the independent variabel in the amount of 24,1%, while the remaining 75,9%
can be explained by others variables that were not examined in this research.
