This study aims to examine the effect of avoidant attachment style on loneliness among single college students. Avoidant attachment style, characterized by an individual‟s reluctance to form emotional closeness, a tendency to maintain interpersonal distance, and discomfort with dependence or intimacy, is hypothesized to have a positive influence on loneliness in single college students. This research employed a quantitative method with a convenience sampling technique. The total number of respondents in this study was 899 single college students from various universities across Indonesia. The instruments used were the University of California, Los Angeles Loneliness Scale Version 3 (UCLA LS) and the Experiences in Close Relationships-Revised (ECR-R). The collected data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 25. The results showed that avoidant attachment style had a significant positive effect on loneliness among single college students, with a contribution of 37.7% (R square = 0.377), while the remaining 62.3% was influenced by other factors not examined in this study. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to the development of psychological support programs focused on interpersonal relationships and the emotional well-being of university students.en_US
