Peran Parental Involvement terhadap Creative Self-Efficacy pada Siswa di Indonesia berdasarkan Data PISA 2022
The Role of Parental Involvement on Creative Self-Efficacy of Students in Indonesia: Analysis of PISA 2022 Data
Abstract
Creative self efficacy is students’ belief in their ability to generate original ideas and solutions. The PISA 2022 results show that Indonesian students’ creative self efficacy scores remain below the OECD average. One factor hypothesized to influence creative self efficacy is parental involvement. This quantitative study aims to examine the role of parental involvement on Indonesian students’ creative self efficacy, using secondary data from the PISA 2022 Student Questionnaire with a sample of 13,439 students aged 15–16 years. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression. Simple linear regression revealed a significant model, F(1, 13437) = 772.28, p < .001, R² = .05. Parental involvement positively predicted creative self-efficacy (B = 0.187, SE = 0.007, β = .233, t(13437) = 27.79, p < .001). These findings suggest that parental involvement plays a small but significant role in enhancing students’ creative self-efficacy, accounting for 5.4% of its variance. This highlights the importance of engaging parents in educational strategies to foster students’ creative confidence, while also considering other contributing factors in future research.
