Studi Eksperimental: Efektivitas Mewarnai Mandala untuk Menurunkan Kecemasan Penderita Narkoba di Yayasan Pemulihan Kasih Bangsa
Experimental Study: The Effectiveness of Mandala Coloring in Reducing Anxiety Among Drug Addicts at the Yayasan Pemulihan Kasih Bangsa
Abstract
This study aims to determine whether mandala coloring activities are effective in reducing anxiety levels among drug addicts undergoing rehabilitation at the Yayasan Pemulihan Kasih Bangsa (YPKB). A quasi-experimental approach was used to evaluate changes in anxiety levels before and after the intervention, and to compare them with a control group that did not receive the treatment. The sample consisted of 10 rehabilitated residents from the foundation. The data collection instrument used was the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI), consisting of 20 items. The study employed a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The intervention was conducted over three sessions, each involving a mandala coloring activity. Data were analyzed using the one-group pretest-posttest design technique. The results showed a significance value of 0.001 (< 0.05) and an effect size of 0.40, indicating a moderate effect. This study suggests that mandala coloring is effective in significantly reducing anxiety among the residents at Yayasan Pemulihan Kasih Bangsa (YPKB).
