Complaints of musculoskeletal disorders are pain that arise in muscles, tendons or ligaments due to continuous load by work factors. Tailoring activities by clothing tailors tend to be carried out with the head facing down, neck bending, back bending, and shoulders raised while operating a dynamo sewing machine. Monotonous sewing work requires clothing tailors to use their hands in a repetitive movement without any variations The results of interviews with 6 clothing tailors complained of pain in the shoulders, arms, back, waist, and calves after working. These complaints are indicators of complaints of musculoskeletal disorders so it is indicated that clothing tailors in PIK Menteng Medan experience complaints of musculoskeletal disorders. This research method is conducted with a quantitative method using a cross sectional research design with a sampling technique using purposive sampling is 38 respondents. Musculoskeletal disorders were measured using the Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire. Work posture was measured using the Rapid Entire Body Assesment (REBA) assessment sheet and the number of repetitive movements was calculated as >2000 movements/hour. The results of the study with NBM showed that the body parts of the clothing tailors who experienced the most complaints of musculoskeletal disorders were the waist (92.1%) and left calf (84.2%). Data analysis using the Spearman Rank Correlation test found that there was a relationship of work posture (0.782) and repetitive movement (0.659) with complaints of musculoskeletal disorders with a strong level of relationship. Clothing tailors should routinely practice a combination of stretching and Touch of Health before and after work breaks to minimise muscle pain, in addition to tendon and nerve gliding exercises after work to relax the hands, thereby reducing the risk of complaints of musculoskeletal disorders.
