Studi Potensi Pengembangan Kawasan Wisata Pantai Marisa Kabupaten Nias Utara Sebagai Kawasan Ekowisata dan Pilar Ekonomi Biru

Abstract

Indonesian tourism has developed significantly due to its significant contribution to the Indonesian economy. Marisa Beach in North Nias Regency has significant potential as a coastal ecotourism area that supports sustainable development based on the blue economy. This study aims to assess land suitability and formulate a strategy for developing the Marisa Beach area as an ecotourism destination. The methods used included field surveys, mapping using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), analysis of accessibility parameters, topography, vegetation, and the role of the surrounding community. The evaluation results indicate that 78.67% of the area is classified as suitable (S2) based on standard ecotourism parameters. Based on a SWOT analysis, Marisa Beach tourism is in quadrant I, offering significant potential for development. Recommended strategies include improving basic facilities, promoting educational tourism, and integrating community-based marine conservation programs. With this approach, Marisa Beach has the potential to become a leading ecotourism destination and boost the local economy.
