The rapid growth of the Fintech industry in society poses problems in consumer protection. In its implementation, Fintech has potential risks that must be really considered, there are at least 2 (two) potential risks that are often encountered or often found in Fintech cases, namely the security risk of personal information (Consumer data) and the risk of errors in transactions. The writing method and approach used in writing this thesis are normative. The purpose of writing this thesis is to find out the legal regulations regarding Fintech Companies in providing Fintech services in Indonesia, legal regulations that can protect Consumers in the use of Fintech services in Indonesia and law enforcement against Fintech Companies that provide Fintech services based on the Electronic Information and Transaction Law as well as protection of Consumers or the public who use Fintech services in the City of Medan especially Medan Sunggal District. The level of digital literacy of the people of Medan City related to the use of Fintech services and understanding of the Electronic Information and Transaction Law is quite good because it shows significant developments. Law enforcement officials in the city of Medan have taken preventive and repressive measures against violations of the Information and Electronic Transactions Law in the use of Fintech by taking preventive measures including education and socialization to the public about the risks and modes of cybercrime. Meanwhile, repressive actions include taking strict action against violations of the ITE Law. Regarding the cooperation between the Medan City Government, the OJK in supervising and moving Fintech services in the event of a violation in the City of Medan, especially in Medan Sunggal District, it has not been specifically documented in the available sources. However, at the national level, OJK and Kominfo have established close collaboration to supervise and crack down on illegal Fintech services.
