This study is a quasi-experimental research aimed at examining the effectiveness of gamification-based learning strategies in enhancing the engagement of choir members of Choir X in Medan. The study was conducted using a one-group pre-test post-test design involving 17 participants from junior and senior high school levels. The instrument employed was the Student Engagement Scale (SES) developed by Reeve and Tseng (2011) and adapted into Indonesian by Pratama and Guspa (2022). Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The results revealed a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores (W = 0.000, z = -3.621, p < 0.001), with an effect size of r = 0.878. These findings indicate that gamification-based learning strategies are effective in increasing engagement during the learning process in a choir context.en_US
