dc.description.abstract | One of the part of the cooling system in internal combustion engine is condensor type compact heat exchanger. Performance of a condensor has a big impact to the engine cooling system. Indirectly, a high performance condensor can improving vehicle fuel consumtion efficiency through the radiator weight reduction. The purpose of this research is to test condensor performance experimentaly. The object of this research is a radiator type compact heat exchanger which is use in 1300 cc vehicle. That compact heat exchanger is installed on a radiator performance test tool. The result of this research shows that energy balance obtained from the experiment has maximum deviation +/- 6 %. The maximum overall heat transfer coefficient for the air side are 35,3 W/m2K. The average deviation between air experiment are 8,47% and 1,1%. | en_US |
