Background: Diabetic foot is a vascular complication in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus that can lead to nontraumatic amputation. From previous research have linked diabetic foot to micronutrient levels such as ferritin, vitamin D, and calcium, but there is no follow-up study in Medan regarding this Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship between ferritin, vitamin D, and calcium levels with the severity of diabetic foot in type 2 DM. Method: This was an observational analytical study with a cross-sectional design. A total of 48 samples were collected from type 2 DM patients treated at Adam Malik Hospital from December 2022 to December 2023. Data were gathered through measurements of micronutrient levels (vitamin D, ferritin, and calcium) and the severity of diabetic foot was assessed using the Wagner Meggitt classification. Result: Of the 48 samples obtained, the majority were female (64.6%), with high ferritin levels (91.6%), and low levels of calcium and vitamin D (93.75%). Bivariate analysis showed no significant relationship between ferritin, corrected calcium, and vitamin D with Wagner grades 2-5 (p=0.515, p=0.646, and p=0.377, respectively). Non-parametric correlation analysis revealed a significant correlation between corrected calcium and Wagner grade (p=0.022) and between vitamin D and Wagner grade (p=0.027). Conclusion: Calcium and vitamin D were found to be correlated with the degree of severity of diabetic foot based on Wagner-Meggit criteria, while not with ferritin.en_US
