    Abstract
Non-Wage Workers (PBPU) are JKN participants who work or run businesses at their own risk. PBPU participants must pay their contributions independently every month. Participants who do not pay their monthly contributions will become inactive and cannot access health services using JKN. As of October 2024, there were 16,351,143 inactive PBPU participants nationally, 1,355,211 inactive PBPU participants in North Sumatra, and Simalungun Regency was the third largest contributor of inactive participants in North Sumatra Province, with 93,289 participants. Saribudolok Community Health Center is one of the FKTP in Simalungun Regency, with 4,405 registered PBPU participants, 2,824 of whom are inactive due to unpaid contributions. The high number of inactive PBPU participants certainly affects JKN coverage and reduces BPJS Kesehatan revenue. This certainly impacts the implementation of the JKN program. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between income, family size, knowledge, and perception with compliance in paying JKN contributions in the PBPU category at the Saribudolok Community Health Center. This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. The population of this study were PBPU participants registered at the Saribudolok Community Health Center with a sampling technique using purpossive sampling technique. The analysis used was univariate and bivariate with bivariate analysis using the chi-square statistical test with a significance of 0.05. The results of the study showed a relationship between opinions on compliance with paying JKN contributions (p=0.001), a relationship between the number of families with compliance with paying JKN contributions (p=0.03), a relationship between knowledge with compliance with paying contributions (p=0.006) and no relationship between perception with compliance with paying JKN contributions (p=0.163). It is recommended to BPJS Kesehatan to conduct socialization of the use of autodebet, and tighten the fine system for participants who are in arrears in paying contributions.
