| dc.description.abstract | This study aimed to determine the effect of BAP and NAA concentrations in the medium on the in vitro morphogenesis of Tempuyung (Sonchus arvensis L.). The research was conducted at the Plant Biotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sumatera Utara, from December 2024 to march 2025. The study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors. The first factor was the concentration of Naphthaleneacetic Acid (NAA) : (0.0; 0.2; 0.5 ppm). The second factor was the concentration of Benzyl Amino Purine (BAP) : (0.0; 1.0; 2.0; 3.0 ppm). The observed parameters included the percentage of explants forming shoots (%), days to shoot emergence, number of shoots, plant height, root length, and number of roots. The results showed that the combination of NAA and BAP had a significant effect on the percentage of explants forming shoots, days to shoot emergence, and number of shoots. The best treatment for shoot morphogenesis was obtained from the use of MS medium supplemented with 0.5 ppm NAA and 1 ppm BAP. | en_US |
