Hubungan Pengetahuan, Sikap Ibu dan Peran Kader dengan Pemberian Imunisasi Measles Rubella (MR) di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Sukaramai

Abstract

Immunization is one of the health programs aimed at improving public health by preventing the spread of infectious diseases, including measles and rubella. Measles Rubella (MR) immunization is a national program essential for protecting children from the risk of disability and death. One of the Public Health Centers (Puskesmas) with MR immunization coverage below the national target is Sukaramai Health Center. This study aims to analyze the relationship between knowledge, maternal attitudes, and the role of health cadres with the provision of MR immunization in the working area of Sukaramai Health Center. This research is a quantitative study with an analytic descriptive design using a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of all mothers with infants aged 10–12 months in the Sukaramai Health Center area, totaling 126 people, with a sample of 96 respondents selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected through interviews using a questionnaire and analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis with the chi-square test. The results showed a significant relationship between maternal knowledge and MR immunization (p = 0.000), as well as between maternal attitudes and MR immunization (p = 0.000). However, there was no significant relationship between the role of health cadres and MR immunization (p = 0.318). This study recommends improving maternal education, strengthening the role of health cadres, increasing support from community leaders, and encouraging further research on other influencing factors such as culture, religious figures, and access to health services in broader areas.
