    Abstract
Breast cancer is a non-communicable disease characterized by abnormal cell growth in the breast tissue and can spread to other parts of the body. According to Globocan (2022), the incidence of breast cancer in Indonesia reached 30.1% with a mortality rate of 34.1%, and about 70% of cases are detected at an advanced stage. To reduce the rate, in the National Cancer Plan 2024-2034, the Ministry of Health developed an early detection program through Clinical Breast Examination (SADANIS), with a target coverage of 60% by 2027. However, SADANIS coverage in Medan City has only reached 1.2%. This study aims to determine the factors associated with early detection of breast cancer through the SADANIS method in women of childbearing age (WUS) at the Titi Papan Health Center. This study used an analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. A sample of 98 respondents was selected by purposive sampling. Data were collected through interviews using a questionnaire and analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that the majority of respondents were 36-40 years old (33.7%), Batak ethnicity (53.1%), high school education (91.8%), housewives (88.8%), and had no family history of breast cancer (5.1%). Bivariate analysis showed a significant association between knowledge (p < 0.001), information exposure (p < 0.001), husband support (p < 0.001), and health worker support (p < 0.001) with the implementation of SADANIS. Therefore, it is necessary to increase community awareness of health through strengthening knowledge, exposure to adequate information, and support from husbands. In addition, the Puskesmas is expected to expand target coverage, increase counseling activities, and implement the SADANIS program routinely and continuously.
