Becoming a caregiver for a family member undergoing hemodialysis due to chronic kidney failure is a complex and challenging experience. This role not only requires physical readiness but also significantly affects the caregiver's emotional and social well-being. This study aims to explore in depth the psychological burden experienced by family caregivers of patients with chronic kidney failure. The research used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method. The subjects consisted of three family caregivers each caring for a spouse, a parent, and a child selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in- depth interviews and non-participant observations. The findings revealed that participants experienced various types of burdens, including emotional stress, physical exhaustion, social limitations, and financial pressure. These burdens were influenced by factors such as age, education, social support, and the patient’s condition. This study emphasizes the importance of psychosocial support and the involvement of mental health professionals in helping caregivers manage stress and enhance psychological resilience throughout the caregiving process.en_US
