Pengadaan Bahan Pustaka di Perpustakaan Politeknik Wilmar Bisnis Indonesia (WBI)

Abstract

This final project was conducted at the Library of Wilmar Bisnis Indonesia Polytechnic (WBI). The purpose of this study is to examine the process of library material acquisition at the WBI Library. The research method used is descriptive, with data collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review. The results of this study indicate that the acquisition process of library materials at the WBI Library includes: (1) acquisition through purchase, interlibrary loan, donations, deposits, and institutional publications; (2) acquisition directly from publishers and through agents; (3) selection of library materials through a desiderata process;(4) collaboration with the Sumatera Library Community to expand the collection; (5) procurement using various methods including purchase, interlibrary loan, donations, deposits, and institutional publications; and (6) utilization of specific tools and equipment to support the acquisition process.
