| dc.description.abstract | Asam Kumbang Crocodile Park is one of the unique tourist destinations in Medan City that features hundreds of crocodiles in a single conservation area. As an educational and recreational tourist attraction, this park plays a strategic role in supporting the growth of the local tourism sector. This research aims to assess the role of Asam Kumbang Crocodile Park in enhancing the welfare of the surrounding community, particularly in economic, social, and cultural aspects. The research methods used include field observation, interviews with management and local residents, as well as a literature review from various sources. The results of the study show that the existence of Asam Kumbang Crocodile Park has a positive impact on increasing the income of the community through business opportunities such as culinary, local transportation, and souvenir sales. In addition, the park also serves as a source of education and a means of environmental preservation. However, better management is still needed in terms of promotion, infrastructure, and supporting facilities to enhance the appeal and comfort of tourists. With optimal management, the Asam Kumbang Turtle Park has great potential to support sustainable tourism development and improve the welfare of the surrounding community.
