Analysis of Financial Performance and Health of Banks Using the Risk Profile, Good Corporate Governance, Earning and Capital (RGEC) Method at Bank Jago for the Period of 2020-2024
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the financial health of PT Bank Jago Tbk for the period
2020 to 2024 using the RGEC method, which consists of four main components:
Risk Profile, Good Corporate Governance (GCG), Earnings, and Capital. The
RGEC framework is based on the assessment standards set by Bank Indonesia and
the Financial Services Authority (OJK) to evaluate the overall health of a bank.
This research is descriptive-quantitative in nature, utilizing financial ratio analysis
and secondary data sourced from annual reports and corporate governance reports
of PT Bank Jago Tbk. The results indicate that, overall, PT Bank Jago Tbk was in
a “Healthy” condition throughout the study period, although there were
fluctuations in the composite score from year to year. The highest composite score
was recorded in 2021 and 2022 at 75.71%, while the lowest occurred in 2024 at
61.43%. The decline in 2024 was primarily due to lower profitability ratios such as
ROA, ROE, and BOPO, which were categorized as less healthy. However, other
components like NPL and CAR still showed very healthy performance.
These findings suggest that while PT Bank Jago Tbk has maintained financial
stability, improvements are needed in profitability to strengthen the financial
structure and support long-term growth. Therefore, this study is expected to serve
as a strategic evaluation tool for the bank's management and as a useful reference
for regulators, investors, and the public in assessing the performance and financial
health of PT Bank Jago Tbk.
