Nursing Care for Third Trimester Pregnant Women Using Warm Therapy ro Relieve ack Pain at Sarfina Primary Clinic, Medan Polonia
Abstract
Pregnancy is a natural and normal process experienced by women. During pregnancy, women commonly undergo both physical and psychological changes due to hormonal fluctuations and physical transformations associated with the growth of the uterus. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of non-pharmacological warm therapy in reducing back pain in third-trimester pregnant women. Method: The study employed warm therapy as an intervention to alleviate back pain. Results: The severity of back pain experienced by the subjects decreased, as shown by changes in the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) scores: Mrs. D's score reduced from 58% (severe low back pain) to 44% (moderate), Mrs. R's score decreased from 32% (moderate) to 24% (mild), and Mrs. E's score declined from 50% (severe) to 36% (moderate). Conclusion: Based on the nursing care provided to the three third-trimester pregnant women experiencing back pain, it can be concluded that non-pharmacological warm therapy is effective in reducing the intensity of back pain.
