Respon Pertumbuhan Tunas pada Berbagai Ukuran Bulbil Porang (Amorphophallus muelleri Blume) dengan Pemberian Berbagai Konsentrasi Zat Pengatur Tumbuh Giberelin
Response of Shoot Growth on Various Sizes of Porang Bulbil (Amorphophallus muelleri Blume) with Various Concentrations of Gibberellin Growth Regulator
Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of various weight sizes and
concentrations of gibberellin growth regulators on the growth of porang bulbil
shoots (Amorphophallus muelleri Blume). This research was conducted at the
Tuber Study Center Land, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara,
Medan with an altitude of ± 25 meters above sea level from February 2025 to
May 2025. This study used the Randomized Block Design (RAK) method with 2
treatment factors and 3 replications. The first factor is the weight size of the bulbil
(U), namely U1 (5 grams) and U2 (10 grams). The second factor is the
concentration of Gibberellin, namely GA3 (K), namely K0 (0 mg/L), K1 (250
mg/L), K2 (500 mg/L) and K3 (750 mg/L). The parameters observed in this study
include sprouting power, days of shoot emergence, number of shoots, shoot
height, leaf emergence age, number of leaves, stem diameter and root length. The
results showed that the treatment of bulbil weight size had a significant effect on
sprouting age, plant height at 11 and 12 MST. The provision of GA3 had a
significant effect on sprouting age, plant height at 7,8,9,11 and 12 MST, number
of leaves and stem diameter. The interaction between the two treatments did not
have a significant effect on all parameters.
