Pengelolaan Pelayanan dan Asuhan Keperawatan Sehat Jiwa: Kesiapan Peningkatan Pengetahuan melalui Edukasi Komunikasi Efektif pada Remaja di Desa Marindal II, Kecamatan Patumbak, Kabupaten Deli Serdang

Abstract

Adolescence is a transitional phase from childhood to adulthood, characterized by significant physical, emotional and social changes. Effective communication between parents and adolescents is essential to support their development, as poor communication can lead to misunderstandings and hinder the learning process. This senior practice provides nursing care twice to three adolescents in Marindal II Village, Patumbak District, Deli Serdang Regency. The assessment was carried out through history taking and filling out an effective communication questionnaire in adolescents with parents and peers as many as 28 questions in Marindal II Village. After the nursing intervention, the three clients showed an increased understanding of effective communication, including the ability to express opinions clearly, listen actively, and show empathy. Positive behavioral changes were also seen, with clients feeling happy and understanding the importance of effective communication in daily life. It is recommended that increased education for parents and adolescents regarding the importance of open communication, adolescents also need to be facilitated in educational activities so that they are able to develop healthy and assertive communication skills.
