Influence of Workload on Turnover Intention Through Job Stress of Nursein University of Sumatera Utara Hospital
Abstract
This research aims to identify and analyze the influence of workingload on turnover intention through job stress of nurse in university of sumatera utara hospital. The population of this research is nursing in University of Sumatera Utara Hospital which total of 142 nurses. The number of samples determined by Slovin formula obtained 105 respondents. The technique used is path analysis. The result showed that simultaneously workload and job stress have significant on turnover intention of nurse university of sumatera utara hospital. Partial test showed that workload has positive and significant on thejob stress, while workload and job stress have positive and significant on the turnover intention of nurse in university of sumatera utara hospital. Result determinant coeficient R2 is 27,9% job stress can be explained by the variable ofworkload while the remaining 72,1% can be explained by other variables which are not examined in this study.While the turnover intention can be explained by workload and job stress with Adjusted R Square value of 54,9% while the remaining 45, l% is influenced by other factors. The result is that the indirect effect is greater than the direct effect so the work stress variable can be an intermediary or mediate.
