| dc.description.abstract | This study examines the moral values contained in the novel Debu dalam Angin by
Pratiwi Juliani using a literary sociology approach. The method used is
descriptive qualitative with library research techniques. The data were analyzed
using the interactive analysis model, which includes data reduction, data display,
and conclusion drawing. The theory applied is Nurgiyantoro moral value theory,
which categories moral value into three aspects: human relations with oneself,
human relations with other, and human relations with God. The findings reveal
three types of moral values in the novel: (1) moral values related to homan
relations with oneselft include independence, hard work, persistence, optimism,
and responsibility of the main character, Salvador; (2) moral values related to
human relations with others include caring for others, parental advice to children,
friendship, loyalty, family relationships, and parental love for children, as
portrayed among Salvador, Peter, John, Tobi, and other characters; and (3) moral
values related of human relations with God include praying to God, surrendering
oneself, gratitude, sincerity in accepting destiny, and faith, as reflected in the
characters Salvador, Tirbiani, and Peter. | en_US |
