Pengelolaan Pelayanan dan Asuhan Keperawatan pada Ibu dengan Balita pada Masalah Diare melalui Terapi Akupresur di Lingkungan VIII Kelurahan Pangkalan Masyhur Kecamatan Medan Johor

Abstract

Toddlers are an age group that is susceptible to various diseases, one of which is diarrhea, which is defecating more than three times a day with liquid stool consistency. Treatment of diarrhea can be done pharmacologically or non-pharmacologically, one of which is through complementary therapy, namely acupressure therapy. Acupressure therapy is the stimulation of certain points on the body. This senior practicum aims to identify the knowledge, attitudes, and actions of mothers with toddlers and to measure the success of mothers with toddlers who experience diarrhea problems through acupressure therapy in Environment VIII, Pangkalan Masyhur Village, Medan Johor District. The instruments used are assessment formats, pre-test and post-test questionnaires and observation sheets. The methods used in field learning practices (PBL) include interviews, observations and nursing care actions to 5 mothers with toddlers. The results of the activity showed an increase in knowledge, a more accepting attitude, providing good actions and mothers successfully implementing acupressure therapy on toddlers. This activity is expected to be an effective alternative in managing diarrhea in mothers with toddlers in the community and improve health outcomes and the quality of nursing services using acupressure therapy.
