    Abstract
Stunting is a condition of growth failure in toddlers caused by chronic malnutrition that is not treated properly, resulting in the child's body being short compared to friends of the same age. This incident occurs from when the baby is in the mother's womb and in the early stages of the baby's birth, but stunting is seen when the child is 2 years old. The incidence of stunting in the Panyabungan Jae Health Center Work Area, Mandailing Natal Regency in 2024 was 1479 cases. This research is a type of quantitative research with a cross-sectional design. The population taken in this study were toddlers in the working area of the Panyabungan Jae Health Center, Mandailing Natal Regency. The sample of this study was 88 people, by using accidental sampling technique. The data collection method was carried out through interviews using questionnaires. The data was then processed using the SPSS application in univariate and bivariate manner using chi-square test statistical analysis with a 95% confidence level. Based on the research, the results of the study showed that there was a relationship between family income (p=0.020), history of exclusive breastfeeding (p=0.040) and history of feeding (p<0.001) with the incidence of stunting in toddlers in the Panyabungan Jae Health Center work area in 2025. Meanwhile, variables that were not related to the incidence of stunting mother's education (p=0.352), mother's occupation (p=0.288), and history of LBW (p=0.674). The conclusion of the variables related to the incidence of stunting is family income, history of exclusive breastfeeding, and history of feeding. It is recommended that mothers pay more attention to feeding toddlers when they start on complementary feeding in terms of the amount of food and the type of food given following the principles of balanced nutrition.
