dc.description.abstractAdolescent girls are prone to anemia due to increased iron requirements during puberty and blood loss during menstruation. This study aims to determine the relationship between iron, vitamin C, and tannin intake and hemoglobin levels in adolescent girls. The study employed a quantitative analytical approach using a cross-sectional design involving 68 adolescent girls. Data were collected through a 7-day food record and hemoglobin level measurements using the EasyTouch GCHb device. Statistical analysis was performed using Simple Linear Regression. Results showed a significant association between iron intake (p=0.001, r=0.793), vitamin C intake (p=0.001, r=0.405), and tannin intake (p=0.001, r=-0.835) with hemoglobin levels. Iron and vitamin C intake were positively correlated with hemoglobin levels, while tannin intake was negatively correlated. This study concluded that the balance between supportive and inhibitory nutrients significantly influences hemoglobin status in adolescents. Nutritional interventions through education on the consumption of iron and vitamin C rich foods, as well as controlling tannin intake are essential in preventing anemia in adolescent girls.en_US
