    Abstract
Background: Pharmacists play a vital role in ensuring the quality, safety, and efficacy of medicines. To prepare future pharmacists for these responsibilities, hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry is essential. One such opportunity is the Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKPA) at Lembaga Farmasi Pusat Kesehatan Angkatan Darat (LAFI Puskesad), Bandung, which was conducted from March 3 to April 30, 2025. Objective: The objectives of this internship were to understand the functions, roles, and responsibilities of pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry; to learn about production planning and implementation in a government non-profit institution; and to observe the application of Good Manufacturing Practices (CPOB) at LAFI Puskesad. Summary: During the internship, students participated in activities covering production of betalactam and non-betalactam dosage forms, quality assurance, quality control, documentation, validation, and waste management. Pharmacists at LAFI Puskesad play a central role in supervising production, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and managing documentation. The institution has obtained several CPOB certifications, reflecting consistent application of pharmaceutical standards. Production planning and processes are closely linked to government policies and budget allocations. Conclusion: The internship demonstrated that LAFI Puskesad has effectively implemented CPOB standards across both betalactam and non-betalactam facilities. However, improvements are still recommended, such as adding production personnel and adopting electronic batch record systems. Overall, the PKPA provided valuable professional experience, enhancing students’ competence and readiness to take on roles as pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry.
