    Abstract
    Background: The pharmaceutical industry plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality, efficacy, and safety of consumed drugs. The implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) aims to ensure drug quality meets requirements and is a mandatory reference for the pharmaceutical industry. Pharmacists play a crucial role in the pharmaceutical industry as drivers and directors of GMP implementation. Therefore, the Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKPA) is implemented to equip prospective pharmacists with the knowledge, experience, and commitment to drug product quality. Research Objectives: To improve prospective pharmacists' understanding of the roles and responsibilities of pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry, to equip prospective pharmacists with insight, skills, and experience in implementing GMP, and to provide a realistic picture of pharmaceutical practice issues in the pharmaceutical industry. Research Methods: The PKPA activity at PT Kimia Farma Plant Jakarta was conducted through direct observation of the management, roles, and duties of pharmacists in the industry. This report is based on theory and observations during professional work practice. Results: Pharmacists play a crucial role and are responsible for production, quality control, and quality assurance in the pharmaceutical industry. During production, pharmacists ensure all stages follow procedures. For quality control, pharmacists conduct product testing according to requirements, while quality assurance ensures the resulting product is safe and effective. Conclusion: The implementation of the PKPA successfully provided prospective pharmacists with the necessary knowledge, skills, and expertise through direct exposure to the roles and duties of pharmacists in the industry. Prospective pharmacists understood the importance of pharmacists' role in the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), particularly in production, quality control, and quality assurance, to ensure the safety and efficacy of products for patients.
