Ineffective cerebral perfusion caused by hypercholesterolemia refers to a condition where blood flow to the brain is impaired due to elevated cholesterol levels in the blood. Hypercholesterolemia can lead to plaque buildup on arterial walls, including those supplying blood to the brain, thereby narrowing the vessels and reducing cerebral blood flow. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of boiled Job’s Tears (Coix lacryma-jobi) water therapy in managing cerebral perfusion disorders in a client from Padang Bulan Subdistrict, Medan. A pre-and post-intervention approach was employed for a 21-year-old female client with a bachelor’s degree, without any dietary regulation imposed. The nursing care process was carried out over eight days, from June 11 to 18, 2025. The steps included: (1) assessment; (2) nursing diagnosis; (3) intervention through administration of boiled Job’s Tears water; (4) health education; and (5) evaluation by monitoring clinical symptoms, blood pressure, and cholesterol levels. The results of this study showed that the use of boiled Job’s Tears water had a positive impact on cerebral perfusion, as evidenced by improvements in clinical indicators such as the absence of fatigue, drowsiness, or signs of atherosclerosis. However, the client’s cholesterol levels remained somewhat fluctuating. The client demonstrated an understanding of hypercholesterolemia and how to prepare the boiled Job’s Tears water. These findings indicate that Job’s Tears therapy can serve as a supportive treatment in alleviating symptoms of ineffective cerebral perfusion. It is recommended that both the researcher and the client implement behavioral changes including strict dietary control and consistent consumption of boiled Job’s Tears water for optimal outcomes.en_US
