dc.description.abstractWaste management has great potential that can be used as a renewable natural resource through a series of recycling processes or energy conversion that can reduce human dependence on natural resources and can also reduce environmental burden. One form of biomass waste treatment is briquettes produced from rice husk charcoal. Briquette molding tools are influential in the process of making briquettes to be able to produce briquettes with good structure and density. can reduce the risk of production process shutdown caused by limited energy sources. Therefore, this study aims to modify a briquette molding tool with a manual pressing lever system and conduct tests. The results of this study show that the effective capacity is 4.945 kg/hour. The percentage of materials is lagging behind 1.09%. The briquette density value is 0.89 g/cm3. The moisture content value of briquettes is 6,09%. The compressive strength value is 5.78 kg/cm3 or 0,567 MPa. Cost of production is Rp. 13.871 BEP of 496 kg/year. The R/C ratio is 1.299. NPV of 6% amounted to Rp. 36.952.155 and 8% amounted to Rp. 36.159.864. IRR is 1,00% and PP for this business is 3,1 months. Based on the results of this study, it can be stated that this tool is feasible to work on and meets the quality standards of Indonesian briquettes.en_US
