Management of Nursing Care for Third Trimester Pregnant Women with Sleep Pattern Disorders through Pregnant Gymnastics Interventions in Neighborhood IX Pangkalan Masyhur Medan Johor
Abstract
Senior practice is the final stage that must be carried out and prepared, especially by students of the Ners Professional education program at the Faculty of Nursing, University of North Sumatra. In this senior practice, the focus of nursing care management is aimed at third trimester pregnant women who experience sleep pattern disorders with stages ranging from assessment, diagnosis, nursing planning, implementation to evaluation through pregnant gymnastics interventions. Third trimester pregnancy is a physiological process experienced by women and is characterized by various changes both physically, psychologically, and hormonally that are felt when entering 28-40 weeks of gestation. Sleep pattern disturbances experienced by third trimester pregnant women usually occur due to physiological and psychological changes during pregnancy such as physical complaints such as back pain, shortness of breath, sleep disturbances, frequent urination, and false contractions. The results of this report show that pregnancy exercises can effectively improve the quality of sleep experienced by pregnant women in the third trimester. Thus, pregnancy exercises can be used as one of the effective non-pharmacological interventions to be recommended in overcoming sleep pattern disorders experienced by third trimester pregnant women. It is expected that pregnant exercises can be done at least 2-3x a week for at least 25-30 minutes and can be used as a program for pregnant women and can be an alternative that can be applied in maternity nursing practice.
