    Abstract
Background : Pharmacists play a vital role in ensuring the quality, safety, and efficacy of every pharmaceutical product manufactured. Therefore, industrial internship is essential to prepare prospective pharmacists to directly understand their roles, functions, and responsibilities. Objective : This Pharmacist Professional Internship (PKPA) program aimed to provide pharmacy students with knowledge, insight, and practical experience through the application of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) within a pharmaceutical industry setting. Method : The internship was conducted at PT Daewoong Biologics Indonesia, Jababeka Phase 5, from March 3 to April 30, 2025. The activities included placement in the Quality Control Department (physicochemical and microbiological sections), Production, Quality Assurance and introductory training across other departments through internal training programs. Result : The internship demonstrated that PT Daewoong Biologics Indonesia consistently implements all aspects of CPOB guidelines, including quality management systems, personnel, facilities, equipment, sanitation and hygiene, production, quality control, self-inspection, supplier audits, product complaint handling, product recall, documentation, contract-based manufacturing and analysis, validation, and qualification. Conclusion: Through this PKPA program, prospective pharmacists gained practical experience regarding the role of pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in ensuring product quality and compliance with regulatory standards, thereby enhancing their readiness to assume professional responsibilities in the future.
