    Abstract
Background: The pharmaceutical industry is a business entity licensed under statutory regulations to manufacture drugs or pharmaceutical ingredients. These activities must comply with the guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practices (CPOB). Pharmacists play an essential role in the pharmaceutical industry. A pharmacist must possess appropriate qualifications, knowledge, experience, and skills to ensure the proper implementation of CPOB in accordance with established requirements. Objective: This Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKPA) was carried out to enable prospective pharmacists to understand the role, function, and responsibilities of pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as to comprehend the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (CPOB). PKPA activities also provided the author with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in performing pharmaceutical tasks within the industry through the application of CPOB at the Army Health Center Pharmaceutical Institute (LAFI Puskesad) Bandung. Summary: The PKPA activities at LAFI Puskesad focused on understanding the pharmacist’s role in drug production, the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (CPOB), and the quality assurance system. During the program, participants were involved in various pharmaceutical activities, including production planning, quality control, quality assurance, and documentation, all in compliance with regulatory standards. Conclusion: Based on the PKPA activities at LAFI Puskesad, it can be concluded that pharmacists serve as key personnel in the areas of production, quality control, and quality assurance, all of which have been implemented in accordance with CPOB 2018. Prospective pharmacists have gained an understanding of CPOB application in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly at LAFI Puskesad. The institute has successfully applied all aspects of CPOB, covering quality systems, personnel, facilities and infrastructure, equipment, production, proper storage and distribution, quality control, self-inspection, complaint handling and product recall, documentation, outsourcing, as well as qualification and validation.
