| dc.description.abstract | The pharmaceutical industry plays a crucial role in ensuring the availability of safe, effective, and high-quality medicines for the community. The Air Force Pharmaceutical Institute (LAFIAU) in Bandung is a government institution responsible for manufacturing, quality control, and distribution of pharmaceutical products to support the healthcare services of Indonesian Air Force personnel, civil servants, and their families. By implementing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), LAFIAU ensures product quality starting from raw material selection, production processes, packaging, to finished goods. Learning activities at LAFIAU provide opportunities to gain direct understanding of production processes, quality control, and quality management systems within a military pharmaceutical industry environment. To enhance the understanding of pharmacy students regarding pharmaceutical production processes, quality control, distribution, and the implementation of quality management systems in accordance with GMP standards within a military pharmaceutical industry. Participants were directly involved in every stage of production, including raw material reception, weighing, mixing, tablet compression, packaging, and finished product storage. Additionally, they learned about GMP implementation, process validation, documentation systems, and quality management applied to ensure consistent product quality. Pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry must be able to implement GMP, understand their roles, and carry out responsibilities as production supervisors to ensure that the manufacturing process runs according to standards and the quality of medicines is maintained. | en_US |
