Peran Website SIDUTA Terhadap Efektivitas Kerja Pegawai Bidang Penempatan Tenaga Kerja Pada Dinas Ketenagakerjaan Kota Medan

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has driven public institutions to innovate in improving service and employee performance. The study explores the role of the SIDUTA (Integrated Employment Information System) website in enchancing employee work effectiveness in the Job Placement Division of the Department of Manpower, Medan City. SIDUTA serves as a web-based platform that facilities job-related services, including job vacancies, training programs, and the issuance of job seeker cards (AK-1). Employing a descriptive quantitative approach, this research collected data through questionnaires distributed to staff members actively utilizing the system. The finding indicate that SIDUTA significantly contributes to employee effectiveness by streamlining work processes, reducing manual errors, and improving access to real-time information. Most respondents acknowledged SIDUTA’s user friendly interface, accessibility, and relevance to their daily tasks. However, minor technical challenges were reported, underlining the importance of ongoing system maintenance and user support. This study highlights the strategic value of digital platforms like SIDUTA in optimizing public service and supports broader implementation of e-government initiatives in Indonesia.
